Freego battery unrepairable?

Unbelievable but this battery is still going strong!! it has been in storage a lot of the time, used occasionaly. But a problem today. She can't get the battery out. Turn the key a quarter turn an the bar retracts a bit then it's normal to push the key in and another quarter turn an the bar retracts completely . The key will not push in so cannot extract the battery.

Maybe a little squirt of wd 40 could free up the lock. Well done for the last two years tho!

tried this, no luck. Hit the bar with a hammer & chisel( light tap) and it freed it enough to get it out. Poured wd40 into it but key won't turn. I see a couple of screws suggesting it may be possible to dismantle the Lock?
Yes especially after the battery being condemed as unrepairable by a reputable Company.

Sure unscrew it and soak in in wd40 for a day or so should free it up, good luck!
