I read it as inches anyway, but you're definitely ok with the 53 cm Pro connect, or 21" as we might say in the superior imperial system.

I am 48 but don't think I can ever get used to the Mm/Cm/Metre versus Inch/Foot/Yard measurements unless there is no choice and I do carry around a key ring sized tape measure when I visit B & Q, lol!
I also don't like Pints versus Litres or gramms kilos's versus pounds stones.
Just don't like it Give me imperial any day!!

Im 5ft 11inch with a 31.5inch inside leg (groin to ground) and 50cycles advised a 53cm frame (Pro-Connect).
The thing is everyone seems to have differing advise regarding a frame size.
Theres little real advise on the internet really.

Im still worried that the bike will be too big !

Ive ridden the Torq2 !
What size frame is that then anyone?

I would agree with the 53 cm what ever that is in inches too as appears to be middle of the road and probably fine for your height and possibly close to my bike size? God knows what mine is?
I would also consider if you have a cross bar which will not be a problem once mastered and not sure how high it is on this bike? If you had a step through there would be no problem however.
I have now mastered my bike but on first appearances it did seem too big but now I have all the confidence I had on my smaller 24inch wheel one, so if you get it and it does seem a little big then you will adapt.

However considering your concerns I would try visiting bike shops and just trying out frame sizes for you. However, if I had done that I probably would not have bought my SE which I am very happy with and ride safely I think Regards

Thanks again all. I have been back and ordered the 53cm, Pro-Connect. The guys at 50/50 were very helpful and measured one for me. Top of saddle to ground is 35", exactly the same as my current 'ordinary' bike.

I must also confess to not knowing really what a cm looks like, but I know there are 30 in a foot, cos me ruler at school said so.

Will update on fit when it arrives

Thanks for that font69. I've ordered a Pro-Connect too.
I've measured 35" from the floor and 35" just goes 1" above my groin.
So I think I'll be fine all in all.
