I am considering changing to a Woosh Karoo that will be more suited to my commute, so I need the space.
The bike is basically stock, except for the wheels that I have changed to a lighter cassette rear and a matching front. I've fitted my own saddle and changed the tyres for Schwalbe Marathon Plusses, but the parts are available if you want to return it to original spec. I will probably keep the Marathons and refit the Kendas it came with.
It's done c.1100 miles, 900 of them in my ownership since July. It's a great bike, but I really want something lighter and more sporty, hence the Karoo interest. The battery is good for 30+ miles on an undulating commute using level 5 assist, so more would easily be achievable on a flatter route with lower assist.
The one main issue is that the chainguard is missing. It got cracked by a buffoon who rode into me. He then 'helpfully' broke it and twisted it off its mounts. It would take quite some fettling to refit it, if possible at all. I've run it since August without it.
I replaced the chain when the new wheels were fitted and cleaned it regularly. It has plenty of life left.
It's currently set to ride along at 25mph with assist, but resetting it to a legal 15.5 is a 30-second affair. On my undulating 8.1-mile commute I have averaged 17mph on it. I think on a Karoo I can get that to nearer 20.
I'm looking for £500 collected from Warwick, although I'll happily take it into Brum or anywhere on the Chiltern Line down to Marylebone. I really want to avoid posting it if at all possible.
Questions and sensible offers welcome.
