Folding assist ebike lightweight limited throttle can be de restricted for off road use?

If thread not allow please pm me why. Hi got a throttle assist bike last year 250w intergrated LG battery called m rider seller made out like was going be derestricted for off road use. They wanted me send back do it but got money off.



Alongh no effort ride on 5 max assist can be a pain if get held up or turn pedals round keep motor on with my illness. The throttle only works on flat up 3,4 mph. Or start you off it pretty useless.



Struggling find any info on bike really it cheap Chinese bike it pretty poor components paint poor etc but is really light 13kg why got it and folds.



Seam like shop order from can be de restrict some how but instruction poor Andy no info online. Do any shops know how do this sort thing as be handy use throttle only sometimes. Only done like 12 miles since October would use more if throttle worked hills and only mode.



Thanks for reading didn’t want get rid as actually comfy and requires no effort on 5 out 0 settings can hur my groin and knees though turning pedals keep motor on.



Was wondering if anyone seen before. The computer basic one button middle see trip Andy few things Arrow go 0 to 5 assist. Live Northampton area and seam no shops around I seen could ask. Don’t mind paying littln if can be done I’d use it lot more. Thanks

The lcd display if I'm not mistaken looks like a KT LCD5, so you should be able to tweak the settings for full throttle use.

1. Press the up/down buttons simultaneously (about 10 secs) , the display setting should flash.
2. Speed , wheel size & units (metric /imperial) usually in that order, press the middle /off button (one quick press) to move to each setting.
3. After the third setting flash's press the middle button (one quick press) to stop, then again press up/down buttons for another 10 secs, you should enter the P
parameters (P1 - P5) .
4. Using middle off button (one quick press) to toggle through the parameters until
you reach P4 (throttle setting) and set the value to 0 for always active, long
press middle button to leave set up .
5. Turn on lcd again and throttle should work.

Only moves between 3 modes in each pic and only one would flash on is first screen the tm flashes and km but when pick middle it just stops flashing won’t move between any options options. I find hard use this lcd couldn’t even manage change to mph from kmh instructions awful, first pic all that flashes on it. Think can be done as they said it from computer lcd but hard do over phone. I a ebike novice so there not much can press on it really, Thanks

Not the best instructions don’t mention nothing about full throttle lol don’t think cruise works on it either due no throttle

I am no expert on these things and have no technical expertise at all.

However, I de-restricted the throttle on my e-bike by disconnecting one of the cables in the 'wiring box' (non-technical term). It was a white one, from memory....

My throttle does acually work from start off up to 4mph so maybe already on 0 setting on p4 I can’t see nothing that instruction that de restricts throttle not that easy understand I can’t seam get p menu come on lol I am holding up and down on.

It is possible it is an oem custom application that Kuenteng offer, which means with the current software installed you are stuck with it as it is.

Where do you live ?


Oem KT software is different to non oem stuff available on the market, we know this because of the Cyclotricity issues with custom oem KT stuff. That said you should be able to access the basic lcd paramtters and the P settings.

It was a ready bought bike was already set up, can’t seam get no p or c come up be nice if could get throttle work just 15mph and hills, I live Northampton East Midlands And sometimes Luton I think company said was hard change and had send back I couldn’t be bothered hassle so not sure if I’d software on it. I don’t want mess up setting

To far from me so I can't help.

When you switch on the lcd as said you have to do each parameter with in 5 seconds of switching on, so switch on and immediately hold up/down button together for the display settings to start flashing. When flashing starts quickly press SW button to go to next setting (as mentioned you only get 5 secs) before the next setting.

The 4mph/6kmh setting is in C4 parameter, C4 value 1 is preset 6kmh throttle. Setting C4 to 0 give no throttle and C4 2 allows you to set the throttle speed. But first you have to access P4 setting.

I see but I can’t seam get any settings up even once just turn on won’t let me in c or p or even go through letters jus goes onto mph or kmh settings. I could just be reallythick lol.Least I know more I did hopefully can find someone do it for me there no e bike shops I know of here though. Thanks

It's dead easy if you do what it says in that manual.
You switch on with the middle button, then press the outer two until the mph flashes
You then press the middle button several times until you get to the end of the basic settings.
You then press the outer two to go to the P settiings
Then press the middle one several times until you get to the end of the P settings
Then press the outer two to get the C settings
Then press the middle button three times to get to C4
Press the down button enough times until you have C4 set to zero.
Press and hold the middle button to save and go back to the normal screen.

I kept tryin it and somehow got onto p screen was already on zero p4 got onto c4 and put in high amount mph seams be unlocked now not sure exactly how got on it still I lifted wheel up and reads 15-16 mph so about right as 250w I have test it tomorrow now, thanks everyone for the help never thought would get it off wonder if will work hills throttle it does steep ones on max pedal assist no effort. Well chuffed went up my steep street throttle ok slow a little and main hill wish got off 4 months ago. Hope battery ok as done 10 miles 4,5 months . Now be using it more hope don’t break but hardly owes me anything cheap v brakes already crap lol. The folding design crap all parts hit metals had put pads on frame lol don’t lock in flaps around. Wish sorted sooner but thought be really hard do. Guess don’t supply you computer manual so don’t unlock it eu rule 4mph pathetic I think, 15 mph fine. Thanks for all help And info.
