fitting new batterry mount plate cyclamatic p plus

hi all,
i have just received a new battery for my cyclamatic power plus.
it comes with...

1. new mounting bracket.

2. new connector pin block.

so i have to fit these before i can put the new battery in place.
the bottom of the existing mounting bracket has 4 screws and nyloc nuts; and two plastic side panels have to be removed to access and hold the nuts for unscrewing.
the non chain side panel comes off ok but on the chain side one of the panel screws is obscured by the crank arm/large chain cog.
could anyone please advise if i am correct in saying that the crank arm has to be removed in order to progress further.
are crank arm extractors standard size??
any recommendations!!

the crank itself is the square type.

Is the slide assembly the same? If it's functional you could just keep it for now. If not yeah crank extractors are pretty generic. Be careful with these tools, as once I pulled the threads off rather than the crank and had to resort to a hammer. You should be able to acess all the nuts from the non drive side, just cafefully remove the controller and wiring if it makes the job easier.
