Fit 11-Speed MTB cassette to Bafang BFSWX02 rear hub motor?

Sorry this is the third time posting this, but the other 2 posts aren't showing up (because I edited them and it's my first post?!)

Does anyone know if an 11-Speed MTB cassette can be fitted to this rear hub motor?
Bafang BFSWX02 48V 500W (G020.500.DC)

The cassette is a bog-standard Shimano SLX M7000.

I know 8/9/10/11 speed MTB cassettes all use the same width freehub body, but 11-Speed MTB cassettes have a recess, so the low sprocket is set inwards slightly towards the spokes.

Will the low sprocket on the cassette interfere with the Bafang hub motor body?

The website selling the above rear hub motor says it can fit a 10-Speed cassette, but they don't mention whether they mean road or MTB.

Cheers folks.

Presumably you will have to buy 11 speed changer too.
No. I have already got an XTR M9000 right shifter, XT M8000 rear mech and SLX 11-40t M7000 cassette on my bike at the moment (not an eBike... yet).

Is it really worth going down to route of ever thinner (and more expensive) chains on a rear hub motor?
I want to keep all my gears as they are so the bike can easily be put back to normal again if I ever want to. This is also why I don't want a mid-drive setup, I'd have to do without my triple chainset.

Please, does anyone know if 11-Speed MTB cassettes fit these freehub bodies - or does the low sprocket end up too close to the side of the hub?

I thought everyone on MTB had gone to 11-Speed single chainring these days?

Someone somewhere must have tried it on one of these Bafang hubs lol

That might be the case but I am trying to avoid having to buy a 9-Speed shifter + cassette + chain when I already have all of those items in 11-Speed.

I think you may have to be the guinea pig on this and try it out. At least you have a solution if it doesn't fit.

11 spd cassette won't fit on a stsd 8 - 10 spd freehub, the 11 spd is wider so needs a longer freehub body to fit on.

Only on road bikes, not on MTB.

On MTB the largest sprocket is so big nowadays, they can offset the cassette and have it further in towards the spokes, which is how they do it without needing a longer freehub body.

On road bikes that typically stops at a 25t or 28t low sprocket, so they can't design it that way and a longer freehub body is needed.

On a Bafang rear hub... who knows! Since the MTB cassette is set more inboard, I want to know if the chain will be too close to the hub body.

I'm erring towards a mid-drive again though lol, I must have changed my mind 10 times in the last 4 days.

that will fit on a standard free hub body but you loose the 10t cog because of the free hub mine uses a xd driver so is 10-50t.

so it should fit but then again it might not but if you want to blast around off road id go for a mid drive bike then you can fit what you want gear wise but there is no point fitting xx1 expensive stuff just to save a few grams in waight.

Since swapping to 11-Speed (MTB) I have been unimpressed with it and wouldn't mind just swapping back to 9-Speed again even if I don't convert it to electric.

Despite using XTR shifters/XT rear mech and SLX cassette, it just doesn't shift as well as 8-Speed and 9-Speed did. It truly is a gimmick - unless you're using a single ring then I guess the bigger low sprocket is needed. The shifters are flimsy and the XT rear mech now has plastic as part of it's construction.

i have only used sram on my bike but the shifter is where i noticed a difference from gx to xx1 but still have a gx cassette as sod 350 for a new one of those and got a xx1 rear mech cheap off ebay. i did have the gx one but one of the pully wheels exploded so now have metal ones in the xx1.

it has a 21t up front as dont use the dual kit unless i go to the forest but it is then 18-20t at the front and manual change.

sorry, I am not sure I can completely follow.
As far as I know the 11 and 12 gear cassettes require a XD free hub.
The free hub being sold by Bafang does only fit the regular cassettes.
So do you have an idea how they can be combined together?
Thanks for the answer.

that fits a standard free hub but the more expensive ones do use the xd driver
