Finally finished my first ebike build! It was a lot easier than I had imagined, many thanks to members here who made my research easy. I purchased the adaptors from fleabay for a tenner and had a 2 week wait for them, meanwhile the motor came from em3ev (500w instead of 350w) but can't really complain, they threw in a 250w label , it came surprising quickly but UK customs had me over for £35 on duties. I ordered a bottle battery from Ali, well 2 x 7.8ah which were supposed to be 240mm long, my triangle is small! Batteries came, look good, but we're 310mm long which I knew from a template was super tight.
Sooo, BB out, front derailleur out, motor in. I didn't need any washers, all seemed to tighten down ok and so far (25 miles) it hasn't moved, lekkie bling ring worked a dream and no adjustment needed for gears. Fitted brake sensors on both brakes, was a bit fiddely working out the best position but got there in the end. Also fitted a gear shift sensor which works a treat. Turns out the battery couldn't fit any better, very snug, no movement at all, just clears the rear shock by about 3mm, could have been an expensive mistake but now gutted I didn't get a 10.8ah in that size.
. Ah well, I still have a super bike which cost less than my woosh Rio, still love my Rio, and it can hold its own (friend has an oxygen s cross) but this bike is a beast, 28mph on throttle with big 2.5 tyres, insane!
