I'll quote it as well. Now you mention it I do remember seeing electric bikes on the rally design stand at Stoneleigh a couple of years ago.

Kudos are Rally Design? Nobody tells me anything!

This is also the case with Cytronix too huh? No-hills.com and all that. Is there some rule that in this business you need to have at least two trading names just to confuse potential customers?

Well, James.....if you didnt spend most of your life in Evans posing with your lush bike, you might have known lol ;)

Rally design is Daves main business which is to do with cars and from what dave has said....is the financial muscle behind his bike business Kudos......in bikes he only has one trading name :)

And.....much more importantly.....on this forum Kudos Dave IS only kudos dave ......NOT masquerading as anyone else.......if you get my drift.......;)

Nah.......we would have guessed.....after all...we are getting quite good at this spotting the psuedos...weve had a bit of practice lately .....mind you, I still cant help that little frisson of fear that certain banned members could, as we speak, be rejoining us

But Im sure if we say the word TONARO often enough we would tempt them out of the woodwork .....they wouldnt be able to help themselves :D :D

Artstu,I will take a couple of ebikes to the Stoneleigh kit car show this year. Stoneleigh is an interesting show,it is more about a meet of the kit car clubs than the show itself. These kit car guys are as enthusiastic about their kit cars as pedelec members are keen on their ebikes. At Stoneleigh they drive many miles, camp in their corrals,bbq,music,booze...some even have themes and dinner parties, peculiarly engish.
I hope that in a modest way,the Redbridge event becomes a meet for fellow ebike users,Linda is doing a BBQ and providing booze for everyone, provided you sign up to her excellent Cyclecharge scheme!!!!!
The exhibitors are getting into the idea of this day....KTM were giving me some bikes for testing but have now decided to attend,Haibike(martin e-shop) is bring 6 Haibikes,Kudos will have over 20 bikes on show and 10 plus test bikes,Hatti(Woosh)will have her new crank drives,Moustache is going french in style,Tonaros are bringing everything,Cycleezee (John) will have many interesting bikes,GoCycle,EZee riders,Green Zebras-the folder specialist,Momentum SRAm auto change....plus a couple of late arrivals.
The Redbridge cycling circuit is unique anywhere in Europe, people rave about the test circuit at the Eurobike show but this Redbridge circuit is just perfect for bike testing....it has the challenging Hog Hill, sweeping bends, chicane bends, long straights, all smooth race circuit tarmac. And for those not testing there is a covered viewing area directly alongside the main straight.
We set the gazebos up like a F1 pit stop, coned off....you can continue on for another lap or come into the pits for a change of bike, best of all its all free.
I would like this event to develop into the National Electric Bike Day (South),I hope one of the events up north develops similarly.
The cafe people are lovely, they kept everyone fed and tea last year,if the weather is as kind as last year I hope we all have a lovely day.
KudosDave

I dunno.....I do my best to help publicise this event and all I get for it is you slyly trying to shift the BBQ and booze onto MY lap.....no way jose'........:D :D

(But Im sure it will be a great day even if you are reneging on the BBQ etc lol )

Bike Locks and Security sale

Oh most certainly. I'm thinking it would be OK to lock it for a few minutes in the centre of Wimbledon - or up at the Village if I amy popping into the bank or something - but no way am I leaving it outside Colliers Wood Underground when I have a day's work in town or would I leave it anywhere SE of where I live (that's Mitcham way - bikes get stripped down there).

One place thats not too bad though is the Common itself. A couple of weeks ago I left the Burisch there by the fence where I always lock it - except I forgot to put the lock on it. 2 hours later after walking the dog (he goes on a basket on the bike btw) - I came back and it was still there.

But really I think I bought it like you buy a work of art - except once in a while I will be able to take it out for a blast.

Road test report so far - its just great. Completely different to have the motor in the crank not the wheel - it really is more like an extension to your body - it picks up from your own effort so precisely - the Oxygen and Burisch are completely different - there its like suddenly there is a surge of power - the Oxygen more in-tune with your own effort - but this Haibike matches you so much closer - and of course no throttle which I am getting used to. I took it up the hill from Wimbledon town to the Village - and it breazed up there. Very nice.

Cutting out at 15mph is a pain though. I can see why those dongle things are proving popular. But up to 15 its a joy. Wide handlebars though - seeing as all I am using it for is dense London traffic thats a slight pain - but I guess I will cope.

But locking it up will be confined to very very short periods and places I feel are only frequented by people who probably spend that amount on their annual flower bill.
