Fiido D21 Throttle Issue?

I just bought a Fiido D21 bike and it arrived today. Everything seems to work great except possibly the throttle? The throttle seems to max out at 5 km/h. Am I doing something wrong? Is it purposely limited at this speed? The pedal assist seems to work just fine.

Thanks in advance.

A few have commented on that. On my year old cadence sensor D11 it's implemented as a full throttle (which technically isn't legal here in the UK), but on the newer torque sensor D21 it's only implemented as walk assist (legal but limited as you've found).

Fiido keep changing these things almost with every batch they make it seems. If you want a definitive answer as to how yours has been set-up, email Fiido support.

One expects it is programmed to conform legally to uk regs of 6kmh walk assist limit. The eu itself do not allow throttles.

An update: I emailed their support and they got back to me within just a few hours. They provided me with the procedure to unlock the throttle speed:

1. Power the bike & display on
2. Turn the display off
3. Press and hold the right brake and throttle at the same time while turning the display on.
4. The display will turn on and flash "E2". Let this flash for 5 seconds and then release.
5. The throttle is unlocked at full speed!

Hope this helps anyone that may have been curious. Very happy I was able to unlock it.
