I note what you say about how the motor multiplies torque. I still don’t understand how that works. There again I always was rubbish at physics.

more force you put in on peddeling the more it will assist you up to 300% with a cx motor.

active line is for town bikes and hub gears so ur best of with a cx drive or performance.

What is "ACTIVE LINE"?

Generation 2 Activeline had small chainring and was rated at 48nm, been around for few years. Bosch has replaced it with two Gen 3 motors. Activeline 40nm and Activeline Plus 50nm. Both have large chainrings and a direct drive, plus lot quieter. The more powerful Performance line 60nm motor and CX 75nm are still same for now.

On paper there isn't lot between Gen2 Activeline 48nm and Plus 50nm but reviews say that is significant difference, more like Shimano Steps e6000 in performance.
I've owned both E6000 and Gen2 Activeline, E6000 is considerable more powerful climber, at least 1-2 gears more.
