Out of interest why is 50 cycles in a sticky position over postage costs? Are they complaining about sending the new battery out or paying to get the old one back. What are the symptoms of battery failure - is the battery cutting out after a mile and coming back to life?

Mr Ching made it clear that internal postage costs were not his, landing the ball in 50cycles court. At around £10 a go, I imagine it's an unwelcome extra cost in the mid winter off season cash flow period when the pennies count.

From memory I think he said that we, the consumer should pick up the costs and I made that offer when writing to 50 cycles - only seems fair that it doesn't give them the extra cost. Not heard anything back yet though.
