----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths:
Excellent Performance
Good build quality
Brakes good and silent
Excellent 3 speed hub gear
Comfortable
No rattles

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Weaknesses:
Motor is a little noisy compared with my last e-bike (cheap Chinese import)
Not really a step thru frame
Front suspension is too firm - very little shock absorption

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
Overall I think its an excellent, well put together quality bike which is a pleasure to ride with plenty of power and hill climbing ability whether in pedelec or e-bike mode.

Purchase Price: £695

Time Owned: 2 Weeks

Local Terrain: Some Minor Hills

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths:
Works as advertised. Does 16mph on the flat without peddling. It takes the pain out of cycling. Well-built. Includes lights, powered by main battery.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Weaknesses:
The top gear is a bit limited so that it is hard to go more than 20mph with peddling.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
Good compromise between a push-bike and a car. I use it for my daily commute, when I rarely bothered with my traditional bike.

Purchased From: 50Cycles

Purchase Price: £695

Time Owned: 4 Days

Local Terrain: Very Hilly

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths:
Can reach speeds of 19mph on the flat.cycle normally then twist throttle for some boost.can scale most hills with assistance at 15-17mph .good brakes compared to my lafree.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Weaknesses:
Motor struggles on its own it needs human input to get the best from it.rear light is too small.front light not bright enough.bike feels small. Amber light on after 8 miles

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
Initially dissapointed as I thought motor would power it up hill. But with human assistance it can fly up almost any hill. I cut 10minutes off my 9 mile home journey from work compared to my lafree. I will keep it but admit I would like to experience 20+ mph as on the top of the range bikes. Early days yet.

Time Owned: five months

Terrain: Moderate Hills

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths:
For me this is a great bike,I have had no problems at all,(but currently having battery charger problem)bike itself is fantastic,I am retired aged 77 and love it.Terrain is a mixture bur there is one quite steep hill to get into Portsmouth and back and with a bit of peddling the bike takes me up the hill just fine.I have fitted the puncture resistant tyres, and they are good, use 50 psi and no problems.Speed supposedly should be about 15 mph and I get this with no difficulty, but a lot of the time I have managed between 17 and 19 mph,a slight slope helps or wind behind you.My bike is used mostly for pleasure riding, some times to visit relatives in Portsmouth,(over the hill)I am six feet three inches tall and weigh about 13.5 stone.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Weaknesses:
Not found any weaknesses that are a bother to me,if you help the bike when needed then I find the bike helps me just great, fabulous bike.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
Should have had one a lot earlier in my life, because this really has prolonged the period of cycling enjoyment for me.

Model: Ezee Liv

Retailer: 50 cycles

Purchase Price: 695

Time Owned: 18 months

Terrain: Moderate Hills

Strengths: Comfort
Power weight ratio
Design
Speed
Battery recharge time

Weaknesses: Faulty battery after 1 year
Faulty charger after 18 months

Summary: Despite the problems I have encountered with the Liv, related to poor power pack manufacture, I am still pleased with this bike. It looks good, rides well and goes up all the hills with modest help.
The new battery is preforming very well. Having tried a Powabike and and Ecobike before purchasing my Liv, I would still recommend it. I just wish I hadn't been the one to experience all the teething troubles, and there was easier back-up and after sales. Having said that Cyclepoint, who have taken over the dealership from 50 Cycles have been very helpful.
