Thanks Brangdon. The importance of the short form reviews is that people can readily find them all in one place and do some comparisons to narrow down the field. Then once that's done, they can search the main forum for more info on their choice or choices, finding larger articles like yours.

Thanks Jen, so the pedelec operates even in throttle only mode. As Camera dealer says, a bit odd, and like him, I prefer the Liv system of the pedelec off when in throttle only mode.

I know the controller's power cut-off system is a rather simple affair, indicating a minimal controller spec, but I suppose at £499 for a quite good quality e-bike that can be sold with some support and through dealers with their margins involved, something has to give.
.
Just reading this thread again and thought i'd add my bit. As powacycle bikes are low geared, surely you could ride above the cut off speed to conserve power rather than requesting an off power switch ;)

Fab Ezee Liv

Hi,

Just a little addition to the comments here.I bought my Ezee Liv last September, and have loved every minute I am able to ride it.To date I have covered just over the 900 miles and I have to say Its great on the flat, pretty fair going up the hills, there are one or two biggies on my area of Hampshire,I am about 13 stone, aged 77 and able to ride up the steepest of the local hills with fair ease. For me the bike is a gem in itself, however, this past mont I have had some bother with the charger,it packed up on me last month and was replaced by 50 cycles on April 18th last,I an now trying to get this one replaced,it also decided it did not want to charge.Beyond that,a great bike, cannot comment on others as this is my first e-bike.

Regards,
