I am keen to sort my old ezee liv. thought i could go it alone, but it seems not! I have 3 12v motorcycle batteries to give me 36 volts, but having limited (no) success wiring them onto the existing loom ...
I connected 3 motorbike batteries as shown (it reads about 38 on my meter)
my theory was to remove the connector plate which plugs into the original battery, and connect them to my new battery bank. no reaction when i clip to the battery bank, the key refuses to turn in the ignition / lock, i was going to bypass it with a simple toggle switch. what could possibly go wrong......

Stick a 30A fuse in line... blowing that is the worst that can happen.

Shouldn't be a problem, the Liv is a good e-bike, the poor mans version of the Ezee Sprint, but using SLA batteries.

You may have the wrong key stopping it turning in the lock.
