Euro Reaches 81p, Thought For The Day

The continuing and seemingly unstopable rise in the value of the Euro over the last few months could well lead to increased prices of Pedelecs manufactured in Euroland, e.g. Kalkhoff, Gazelle, Sparta etc.:(

UK suppliers of these bikes have 2 options, increase prices or absorb a fall in profits. Which do you think is the more likely option?

It could be that those of us who bought or ordered an expensive 'Euro' bike at an introductory offer price or even current prices have in hindsight got a bargain;)
Even if you haven't received your bike yet and are getting your knickers in a twist over delayed delivery, maybe, just maybe you have saved a few £'s.

Leicester LE4, UK.
I think that is ofset to some extent by the fact that the wholesale price of the bikes at source should be falling as they contain a large number of imported components, not least of which being the expensive motor unit and these are getting a lot cheaper from a European perspective.

In line with that Scott, Erik in Denmark posted a Kalkhoff price for the Agattu there now of £1710 equivalent (Dkk 16,000), Your current offer price £1250, a huge £460 lower.

Lucky us, and pity the poor Danes. It would be cheaper for them to come here and buy one, some Agattus are ex stock too.
