Got my new controller and lcd fitted and everything seems perfect the difference between my old controller and this one is night and day and I'm getting 20/21mph on flats and 18/19mph on hills.

My ony issue is I'm getting 08 error displayed on the lcd, when I checked the manual it says it throttle related but I don't have a throttle my bike is fully pedal assisted

Just guessing but if the controller is configured to use/look for a throttle and its not there, could that be the error??
if a kt controller check the relevant P and C parameters are set correctly for no throttle..

KT controllers although need to have the corrct parameters set to work, dont't need a throttle connected so won't throw up an error code, 08 is not a KT error code.
Larkbox you seem keen to help on alot of subjets but before giving the advice it is best to know which system the Op is talking of rather then giving a confusing guessed answer which helps not.

Steverebo which controller /diplay are you using , this is needed to know which sytstem you have fitted to get a better answer rather then guessed one.

Thanks for the correction, not my intention to mislead.

When an LCD gives a throttle error code, it's because the controller tests the throttle signal voltage at start up and it finds a value that is not equivalent to zero throttle, i.e a value over 1.2v. In that case, it shuts down power until it gets the zero throttle signal. Some controllers will also give the error code when the throttle signal wire has a value above the allowed maximum (4v or 5v).

Before anything, OP needs to tell us which display he has and which manual he's looking at because error codes are different for different LCDs. op has described events that seem implausible on the surface, but maybe something unusual is happening.
