It was the under 20 world cup, but still an England mens team triumphing, beating Venezuela 1 - 0 in the final.

I announced their reaching the semi-final in this thread, but thought the win worthy of headlining in a separate announcement.

The future for the Football League and England's main World Cup competition is looking distinctly brighter.

I watched the first team play against Scotland last night - only a few minutes just before the end. The first thing I saw was one of the England guys foul a Scottish guy and then fall on the ground holding his head as if in agony. It looked absolutely ridiculous in the slo mo replay, where you could see that nothing came near his head. they should be sent off for that. Scotland got a free-kick from it right in front of the goal, for which I thought that they deserved a goal, and that's exactly what they got and then another one about a minute later from another free-kick in exactly the same place, though I though that one was less deserved. So, two goals in two minutes with 2 minutes to go, I switched back to what I was watching before.

Excuse me for hoping that ENGLAND fail.
When it comes to sport, for me and my fellow countrymen, England is the enemy.

I,m English and a supporter ( sort of ) of England but I had to laugh out loud when that 2nd Lee Grifith free kick went in. Scotland showed heart and determination and I think the last 10 mins of that match were most entertaining I,ve ever seen. I did cheer when Kane scored though.

Okay, so you are the UK or Great Britain or whatever so where is your football team? You have a rugby team after all.

Just asking...
