I spend half my time in leominster... Any good places to ride? Most of the rides I know round here are lanes but would like abit of woodland..
Alex
These are my locals:
Brush Wood to the High Vennals is big and steep, Gatley Wood is steep, Bircher Common and Croft Park land is big and steep, Shobdon Wood big and steep, Blackthorne/Beech bank Wood big and steep also quite rough, Sned Wood with Blackball Wood small but a steep hill to get there, Wigmore Rolls big and Wapley Hill steep.

If you drive over to Bedstone, Hopton Woods have proper trails set up, also Westhope common is good you can go up the Dinmore side and come out the Canon Pyon side.

All the woodland trails are open now, but once summer is here they are overgrown and unusable.

All excellent eMTB areas.

I did the Settle Loop yesterday in a glorious light though cold and windy on the tops. It's only 10 miles long but what a route. Stony track, broad grass paths and firm compact paths for the exhilarating descent into Settle. Great views of Malham Tarn, Ingleborough and Pen y Ghent. John F, superb photo's, I know most of that route from years ago! I also noticed your rear rack, I fancied one of those but a friend put me off, how do you find it performs off road?

Finally got my last part, the new sprocket! Post service has malfunctioned alot so I thought this package also was lost but I got it today. Also first time I've used my plumber wrench on the bike, this was actually the best tool (if you don't have a 32mm spanner lying around).

First proper ride on the bike I converted about 3 weeks ago. I've been commuting to work for the last 9 weeks on my electric commuter bike and once on this bike, but this is the first real off road ride.

Awesome. Boring old tracks I've been riding for 20 years, just became fun. Hard to believe how fast it seems with just a basic Panda 250 kit.

Looking forward to doing lots more rides from my home now.

Had to miss a trip with Chris to the FOD this morning so took myself out this afternoon for a consolation.

Went a bit further that I originally thought especially climbing wise.

Not an eBike one, my boy in about 5 acres of Blue Bells

Having a sit down at the top, the Rape brightly carpets the countryside
