Even more like it at about May time. :)

“You lose it here, you’re in a world of hurt.”

You are so far ahead of us ( yes I know ) climate wise, our bracken is still grey and dead, luckily, we just start to get a few wood anemone open up. I am hoping for a few more weeks before trails close in and the ticks start lurking !!!

I had just come up the green track to the left and thought those Damsons are beautiful, time for a picture.

Tugwell, now you can see how busy our roads are and this is where I live.

No electric fence duty for me, but a good idea.

Now I know that I have been previously criticized for pictures of a route with no bike in shot.

Well this time I have included a bike in all my pictures but I forgot to take the bike with the motor and battery. At least it does not have a dongle! I am sure EddiePJ will allow it as he owns one as well.

To be honest my electric steeds are used for commuting, shopping and other useful tasks, but with such a lovely day I wanted to get back to basics and see if I could still climb up the North Downs under my own steam.

I had a fabulous ride in perfect conditions. I guess I could get Darren at Brighton Bikes to electrify my KTM 650B 1964, only joking Eddie, I like just the way it is.

The route included Blackheath, Chilworth, St Marthas and Albury in Surrey.

No, just a group of people out riding. :) I did see someone on a Cube, that fell of it whilst being stationary!

Here is another group that I really impressed me. They were out on a club ride, with the lead rider going at a sensible pace for the group, and a tail end rider that kept pace with the slowest rider, never leaving them behind. The group also waited patiently periodically for the slowest to catch up, and also gave them breathing time. The club runs three rides a week, with three different abilities, and also much more beside including a bike shop discount card. All that for a fiver a year.

Georgehenry, I'm currently thinking that I might put a single chain ring on my Ultra 1964. I have been riding a few other bikes lately that have a single chain ring set up, and prefer it.

The lad I went cycling with has a new cycle computer, so finally I am able to get an understanding of going up and down as previously I lived in blissful ignorance, which is also the next village over.

We did 11.2 miles, ascended 1048 feet and descended 1020 feet ! Will I come back down to earth with a bump later !

Bit of a Bracken theme
