For me it's just my local hill tomorrow up the Ercall and around the Wrekin, my small bit of English Alps

Anyone ridden Golspie red or black trails ?
Not too long before we go up North and not far from Glenlivet, so that's a must, thinking Moray Monster, Learine Red Rocks, Laggan Wolf Trax, but also fancy a challenge at Golspie.
Any info gratefully received.

I watched these then went on youtube and watched some more. I'm not the bravest of peeps being 54 and female, I don't do huge jumps or big drops offs, but will give most things ago. I just wanted to know how technical it could be and if I was up to it. Golspie looks the hardest for me, the others look fun.

Some idiot (me) ran the blade of the slasher up their hand when they removed it from the bike! It was one of those, oh s##t it is too deep to bleed cuts that didn't even hurt. All in the name of sport.

Hope you've had a tetanus lately.....being a nurse it's hard for me not to ask these questions..
Been out on the tubeless tyres today, messing locally, in local woods on natural trails. All's good.
I have ordered some minions same as hubbies as he seems to have much more grip than me on my nobby nics.

Sorry if you thought I was having a dig at you, that wasn't my intention. I was just surprised to see that Golspie is a Black run as I didn't see anything particularly challenging on the video (admittedly, I did get bored and skipped around a bit). I'm no downhill hero myself, I'm pushing 50 and arthritic but I like to have a go, even if I do get passed by toddlers and the occasional snail!

Yesterday we had some warmth record, it was of course a good oportunity to take a swim after work

I am testing two new things also, this bikepack bag and new steering bar. Don't usually have it on this bike but... now I have. It suddenly got less of a mountain bike and more of a touring bike not bad actually.

No offence taken Doomanic, takes a lot to get to me. Just a reminder that sometimes I'm a bit of a wuss . Just the thought of me hitting the ground with big rocks in the way, gets the better of me and eats at my confidence.
