new one will be here 11am see if they brake that one lol
I wouldn't be surprised if it was broken before it was packaged, and they're just claiming it back off insurance...it was for my sister as old 2011 one hdd died fkn amazed it lasted that long as a 5200rpm hdd
ordered a 2014 i5 quad core 16gb 5k 1.2tb fusion drive for £545.

there was a 4inc gap at the top of the box so when it was thrown on the van when the box was upside down it did that much damage and said they dont brake like that from one hit unless you hit it with a fkn hammer lol.

Apple's largest all-in-one stands out for its rock-solid performance, brilliant 5K Retina display , Fusion Drive for smooth and fast performance and a razor-sharp design that provides an extremely satisfying bigger-screen experience. i7s from then are pretty cheap now - the ram though could be tricky to find in matching pairs? Best to keep checking periodically in my experience on ebay.depends what year it is the one there sending is late 2015 and can take a i7 and 64gb of ram and can upgrade the m2 ssd with a adaptor if i cut the fkn screen off and take it to bits i hate apple crap!
I prefer matched RAM for stability. Unless she's editing high-res video, I doubt she'd need more than 16gb? If editing video, then a supporting graphics card would speed editing up more, depending on software support. She might get away with just 8gb RAM for most tasks, but possibly not gaming, depending on the game of course.you can mix ram speed latency just all dims will run at that speed of the slowest dim.
4 16gb dims will be about 250-300 quid but it will just be over kill and 2 8gb to take it to 32gb is 60 quid.
Trouble is finding a used i7 which hasn't been cooked! If it fails a long and heavy stress test with adequate cooling, it gets returned!depends what year it is the one there sending is late 2015 and can take a i7 and 64gb of ram and can upgrade the m2 ssd with a adaptor if i cut the fkn screen off and take it to bits i hate apple crap!
macs run at 100c stock lol tho a good one will be about 60 squid atm as will fit the imacsTrouble is finding a used i7 which hasn't been cooked! If it fails a long and heavy stress test with adequate cooling, it gets returned!
60 squids is nothing for an i7 compared to just two years ago, even cheaper soon I expect...a good one will be about 60 squid atm as will fit the imacs
100c is mental, and asking for early CPU death! Mine never go over 60C, no matter what I throw at them - Big Coolermaster heatsinks and fans in silent with great airflow Coolermaster Silencio 452 cases filled with hard drives.macs run at 100c stock lol
They wouldn't get away with that if they used AMD - it's why I never buy AMD, too many burnouts... they need very good cooling. Burning CPUs would mean a new MAC purchase, which suits MAC as a company...it all goes in the bin at the end of the day but mac lap tops run stupid temps
It's designed to fail after a year or two of brutally high CPU temperatures, with heat not being extracted through airflow sucked over the CPU heatsink by that fan to an exhaust on the other side of the case. The brainwashed sheeple will just buy another one, which is what Apple wants. Well, at least Macs don't (presently) insist on TPM chips like Windows 11 does...
you cant tell the sheple that they are stupid.
