I think it would be interesting to know a few stats about electric bikers.
e.g. How many there are in the UK and anywhere else in the known Universe?
Where they are located
What bike/bikes they own?
How many miles they ride on average?
Reason for going electric?
When they started using electric bikes?
Use of bike, commuting, pleasure or both? etc., etc.

This would probably require a questionnaire and should probably be anonymous. I realise people can volunteer this info on the forum, but it would be interesting to see it in a separate section of the forum. Anybody else agree or am I on my own?

To start the ball rolling, here is my info

Location: Milton Keynes, England age 55
What bike/bikes: I own a Giant Lafree Twist Lite and 2 Ezee Torqs
(My wife has a Giant Lafree Twist Lite)
(All 2nd hand and acquired via eBay or private sales)
How many miles on average: About 50 miles per week
Reason for going electric: To try to get back into cycling and get some exercise.
Started: June 2007
Use: pleasure

Could be interesting Aldby, here's some info on me to keep this ball rolling for the moment

Location: Croydon/Surrey border, England, age 71

What bike/bikes:
1) Giant Lafree Lite with SRAM P5 gear hub added.
2) eZee Quando converted to universal use multi-gear Q bike.
3) eZee Torq converted to super-sport T bike.

How many miles on average:
Average 3000 per annum over last 15 years, peak at over 5000, low at around 2000.

Reason for going electric:
To be able to tow heavy trailers in my hilly area, but still continuing with conventional cycling as well for a while.

Started with electric: April 2003

Use: Utility purposes for shopping, rubbish and recycling loads, social and pleasure.
