Hi All,
I am new in the forum. I have been reading for a while but I can not find a solution for me. Please help

I am having a fat bike 26 inch x 4 inch tire.
The bike is here: https://www.evanscycles.com/genesis-caribou-2015-fat-bike-EV223037

The BB: Raceface X-Type Team DH, 100mm
Wheel: Sealed hubs/ Weinmann HL80 80mm rims
Fork: Double-butted cro-mo, 135mm spacing

I weight about 90kg and the bike weight about 17kg. I want electric bike to get to work.

I really want to have the front wheel drive. This is because I may remove it and use during the weekend to the MTB track. Is it a good idea? how much of power can I put in the front wheel. I see some set from China with 3k W ...

Where can I buy the kit from? I tried to google but most supplier are in China or USA. i would like to buy from the UK.

Thank you
Hung Phung

you can use stadard 26" front BPM motor wheels but for a better look, you will have to lace the wheel yourself. Other than that, the rest of the kit is the same, downtube battery, integrated controller, brake levers, throttle, pedelec sensor are same.
Check out ebay, panda, EBC and woosh.

Hi. I just looked around for the 26' BPM motor. is it a big different to fit the fat bike and the normal 26 MTB?

About ebay, I see some saler from China. it looks like they will not do any waranty :( is it worth the risk?

No. Most rigid front forks are made from steel, installation of a front BPM will not require torque arms, easy.
Buying from China is not worth your while unless you buy a few.
No guarantee as such, you won't believe the paperwork involved to return broken parts to China. However, Chinese companies may replace for you without asking you to send back the faulty items.

Uh, so I can buy a BPM and just put it in my existing wheel :) Can I ask which company in the Uk sale the BPM set?

I suggest you bet a 26" front hub kit, install it, make sure everything is OK then lace the motor to the fat rim. You can ride the bike with the narrow rim as long as you like, it's just a matter of esthetics.

Electricbike Conversions in Hertfordshire will lace your wheel with a hub, I am sure they stock 26 Fat Boy kits but I think they are rear motors, worth giving them a call
