I'm sure you aren't making the same mistake I made, but just in case....in the battery section it asks for 'age' and having one of my frequent brain f*rts I entered 67, being my age.

I suffered battery failure predictions for a while until the f*rt cleared and I realised it was the age of the battery that was required.

I'm embarrassed to have to make this admission but just in case it helps resolve anybody else's problem.....

Ha ha ha.
When I first did it google chrome used form auto complete and put my year of birth in 1961 lol.
I did notice in chrome it didnt work when putting in a town as destination so i had to click on the to and from positions on the map :)

Is it possible to get this to work with the Open Cycle Map?

That would include the Sustrans National Routes in the uk.

Finding my (electric) wheels
>>It might be worth changing the caption to "battery age".
It is done in the last version of the electric bike trip simulator

>>The only thing now is that the average speed looks a bit high. On my hilly route on a bike limited to >>25kph with lazy power, it's giving an average speed of 26kph.
>>the assumptions about average speed are a little optimistic with those hills involved
The problem is that in the current version, I do not take into account the fact that hub motors have a power which depends on the speed (it also depends a lot on your controller in fact). Thus, it makes you climb at 25kmh where you should probably climb at 20kmh. Consequently, the simulator is a little bit optimistic in trip time for hilly areas but not that much from my experience.

>>What do these mean where crank drives are concerned :
>>Geared
>>Direct Drive
>>With transmission
>>Transverse Flux
You should have a look to the electric bike motors page. Also, I have change with transmission for mid-motor which is more appropriate.

>>If it can just take Sustrans Cycle Routes into consideration, it'll be superb.
I rely on Google for cyle road, there is a type of road "bicycle path" but it mainly works in the USA. Maybe you can try ?

>>Is it possible to get this to work with the Open Cycle Map?
Google have a great API. I don't know "Open Cycle Map", I may have a look for the future...

>>Is it possible to download this to my phone, and if so, how ?
I will see if I can do a version which works well on smartphone, however, this is not my priority (I don't have one !)

And thanks again for all your usefull feedbacks !
