Ebikeling controller alternative

I am seeking a smaller sized controller compatible with Ebikeling 500w hub. The controller they sold me is larger than compartment in mini frog set up. My bike is 36v 500 watt with waterproof plugs

Let's say we have a similar project, it's the same story, I want to replace my controller with something compatible but it seems that to work correctly with the S830 display, we have to go back to eBikeling and their controller. Now maybe by explaining your problem with eBIkeling he would be able to guide you? Maybe just remove the controller box and transfer the electronics to your compartment, taking care to insulate well against water and knocks... good luck

Thanks for the reply. I was told that an S1 wheel with 20 magnets and a 9-pin cable should work with most newer generation of premium controllers provided voltage and amperage requirements are addressed. I just bought one from Amazon @$60 with 2-day shipping that should fit the dimensional requirements -- it will be interesting to see if all else is workable. I will let you know. Regards,
