Hi yes switch on, the wires are only suitable for low voltage not 40v. These are very fine wires coming from controller and connect to the display

There should be battery voltage (around 40v) between the red and the black. You're not helping us to help you when you start inventing your own theories.

That’s interesting so it seems to be a faulty controller. When i get a spare half hour I will set up on my bench, a controller a battery etc and do these test on a unit that i know is working.

No, I never invent my own theories, when one is getting in the direction of 90
years , I try lo leave it for someone to invent them for me. I do appreciate your help and take on board what you say, many thanks.
