Noticing that many bikers have a competitive edge, the need for speed and an OCD for pain and gain, I've devised a new pastime, 'E-stalking'.

What is that?

It involves pursuing and pushing regular bikes and their riders, closing distance gradually, before they've even realised that I'm on an ebike, and then seeing if they have the kahunas to try and make a break for it.

Game on! :D

It's still in the prototype phase. So, if you ride a regular bike, make sure that you keep looking over your shoulder for me. :p

22mph.

Win or lose, I'm only in it for the workout. It's just a bit of fun for both riders and I only realised how competitive some can be this evening. Younger guys leaving work, following the park pathways home, tend to be up for a brisk challenge. I doubt that any of us will make the Olympics next week. :)

if you put that motor on ur bike it would be 5x faster than ur top speed now.

but it might twist and rip the rear end off ur bike when braking as just the motor is 15kg.

At the moment I am riding unrestricted so it is more car drivers not being able to catch and pass me (in town)...

When I get sorted in a few days I'll be back to annoying lycras. They can't stand being passed by an old guy in jeans and sandles with a couple of panniers I have noticed...

I just love it when the lycras try and position themselves ready for a quick getaway, uphill at the lights is my favourite never had one win yet.

Until you get someone else on an e-bike doing the same to you...

i gave him 60 sec head start at the bridge and soon as seen me slowed down at 1.30 thats how fast i could catch him.

I'd wear a fluorescent coat and rigger boots just to wind them up even more.
I used to wear a big woolly hat, baggy trousers & jacket with my navy boots on a non electric mountain bike. This was when I was fitter of course, I used to keep with them for a few miles, they found it disconcerting to say the least. Couldn't do it now on either of my electric bikes, I must be getting old.

A nice looking circuit on a lovely day.

However, you seem to be gunning it in a few places I would have dropped down to a slower pace. I'm sure you're competent and know the paths very well but I am a bit concerned at 5:11 for example, you never know what kids are going to do. (I also don't like the look of those posts in the underpass at 14:55!).

Anyway, you enjoy (but be careful too).
