I have not but I seem to recall bosch isn't supported

Personally I would just spend a little more and get a second battery.

I mostly agree with you, but...

A second battery has to be transported somehow, with the most likely place being in a backpack. In the event of a crash that could have serious consequences which is why I'm considering a range extender that can be mounted on the bike.
