it's 8-Fun SWX02, Lishui controller, Samsung cell battery. The 15AH battery has Bluetooth.

Nice looking bike, and very refreshing not see crap coil front suspension that's fitted to so many sub 1k bikes. I'd prefer to see more road biased bikes fitted with a ridged front end.

I suspect that it should sell well.

From the photos, the only thing that I would change long term would be a switch from cable to hydraulic brakes. That's not meant in any way as a criticism of the bikes OE spec though.

But I reckon there are also plenty of people who want a 'fast' hybrid for road and well made paths.

The Karoo could be just such a device, particularly if the controller could be...

I agree, and think that it is an aspect of the market that has been sadly lacking.

The nearest offering being the lovely looking Boardman Oxygen conversion bikes, but as many don't want to fit their own kits. the Woosh would make a very viable off the shelf option. Certainly in my neck of the woods, I could see it selling well to the likes of train station commuters.

I like it, but in common with most of these sporty lightweight hybrids, there doesn't appear to be be enough fork clearance for a bigger tyre and mudguards.
Fine for roads but I find 40mm tyres much better for rougher tracks.

Looks interesting and I'm sure it will sell well.

i would like to know the stand over height at the centre of the top tube and whether mudguards could be fitted. No doubt we will have to wait until Woosh actually have the bike in stock for some better photos.

Looks like a bit of a slope on the top tube to me.
I have a 54cm Specialized Secteur road bike that fits me just fine but the top tube has more slope. Will just have to see.

Looks nice, Woosh say it's for 5'-10" riders with a 50cm frame. Looks as if the controller and battery are intergrated and like the new 08 styling that BMSB are selling, neat set up with little in the way of ugliness.

Our best selling bikes over the past 3 seasons have all been this exact type of bike. I'm not sure if this was due to a lack of competition from the other brands, or simply because more people actually want and need this type of bike.

2 best selling bikes from 2015 season for us were:

Both come in gents and ladies style frames, and in size options in both of those, which I suppose is one the things that you're paying for, rather than having a one size fits all approach.

But yes, its definitely an important part of the eBike market, that isn't discussed on here, or anywhere much really. But its what most people actually seem to buy.

I fully agree... was just really backing up Rob's point with our data.

At any price point, our feedback suggests people want eBikes that look like bikes, so I'm sure this Woosh will do very well.

Anything thats good for eBikes is good for us really... at the moment there is more than enough market to go around, and good entry level products benefit everyone.

It will be interesting to learn what the Woosh front fork is made of ( I would assume the frame is probably aluminium ). Could be a harsh ride if it's al as well. Trex can you help ?

When Eddie said there weren't many naked hybrid ebikes, KTM were the only ones I could immediately bring to mind.

Price not too sore for UK supplied Shimano/Bosch bikes.

Shame about the sus fork on the two in Col's link.

I thought there was a rigid fork one in the 2016 catalogue.

This Ghost from MHW is 2,200 euro, so wouldn't be any cheaper than the KTM.

Price not too sore for UK supplied Shimano/Bosch bikes.

We do a bike called the Macina Bold, which has a rigid fork. and it does sell well in the UK, but not quite as well as the two models I've listed.

pictured is the step though version, but we also do it in a dropped top tube and standard gents versions.

You are correct.
there was talk of making a 26" version with wider tyres and RST singleshock M6 fork in keeping with below 20kg target but I don't think it's ready before Christmas.
