Thanks vfr400, as I was about to go away, I only had time to do some photos. Due to space restrictions, the bike is not stored at my home as it was still boxed with the intention of sending it back to China, but that never happened.
I did reply in #18 to this effect, clearly I didn't do it in a readable format.
It was only when I took the photos that I realised that the motor was a problem (in addition to the fact that the E:07 code came up for the first time), so I had been under the assumption that the controller was a problem.
I posted the pics of the display and motor number in an effort to get a heads-up where to start on my return to the UK.
