No, my bicycle is perfectly legal as a simple pedelec, there's no throttle, in the eyes of the law here now, except that having registered it as a moped I'm sure there's a big form to fill in, a fee to pay and some hanging around to do to deregister it before it's a bicycle again, I haven't checked, but to be quite honest my current view is that they can go f**k themselves. I might look into it when I get round to it!
That probably depends on whether you have the same SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) motor vehicle regulation as us Andrew. It was introduced here on 31 January 1998.

Under that if one fails to renew the VED (Road Tax, free or not), or complete a SORN "off road" notice to the licencing authority, a finable offence is automatically committed.

Anyone care to comment if NI new ebike regulations, scraping electric bike registration and license requirements, could be applicable to UK someday in future?

These were only to bring NI up to where GB and rest of the EU had been for years. The same 250w, 15.5mph applies there as it does in the rest of UK.

These have been our UK law since before 6th April 2015. We last had registration of power assist bicycles as motor vehicles in the 1970s.

If I was you, I should fill in the part of the registration document that says that the vehicle has been scrapped.
Then they will lose all interest because you have ticked one of their boxes.
Then 'rebuild'it as an ebike.

Agree with Mike to rid of the yearly SORN notice, note the V5 as said as scrapped.
