You have to be kidding, going by the fact when living on a houseboat on the thames (oxford 79), EVERY BLOODY morning circa 5 am the first CRUNCH! of a boat collision followed by the obligatory posh singsong 'Sorry' would start the day prematurely. rowing and steering do not seem to be good bedfellows..

A fad bike for seaside dwellers, have to say the girl was fit .
Advertising seems to like to employ fit birds to sell stuff no matter how useless the product may seem.

Surely someone wouldn't be daft enough to make a cross trainer bike....??

Less likely to make you seasick!

Yeah, I think that's it.
...I mean, what do you look at for balance, head bobbing up and down forwards and backwards and side to side while trying to steer while rowing through traffic. Whole body compound exercise is rowing, but that thing is a deathtrap. Wouldn't be so bad if there were different modes with a mechanical switche of some sort to move from normal pedalling while recumbent, to full on rowing on long straight obstacle-free sections, or whatever passes for ebike trackdays. I imagine high speed would be possible without electrickery, until the heart attack. And if you don't do pressups for hours to maintain muscle balance, you go Quasimodo. I've seen that happen to rowers. If you don't die.
