It seems to bear more than a passing resemblance to the Swizzbee, which features elsewhere on the same site (Under the Modelle tab).

Yes, Swizzbee licensed the technology from Michael Kutter, who owns Velocity and is also on the board of Swizzbee...

There's more info on the Izip site. Looks like it will launch in a couple of months time (in the US, not UK)

I am afraid that red thing in the middle of the frame looks too much like a petrol tank for me, a criticism I would make too of the Bionx and a few others.

i agree with you, certainly you could not try and hide the battery behind a couple of panniers,, i prefer more normal looking bikes,that you would not easily recognise as electric powered.
