Its not unusual Pingy?
Roisiean F.W .Evans ,my first ever proper bike, coz it was a beautiful emerald green colour.
Boonshanker my first recumbent trike, you feel every pothole, hence bone shaker!
Lucifer, coz it had a wonky bottom bkt ,fixed it by putting a expensive sealed unit in. I had a 70" fixed gear, not much fun in hilly country.
Lazerlilu, coz I'd been playing scrabble!
Swampthing ,my off roading bike self-explanatory that one.
White charger, my first ever Pedelec,
The second Pedelec, Brown Boris, a Kalkhoff wossiname, the one with the impulse motor, not the impulse 2.
I have had other bikes, which have passed on,to a better place, I now have quorum of 4 , one can have too many bikes.
I am shamed! I forgot about 'Boromir ' , the only bike that died under me when I got struck by a car out of control when the driver clipped a hedge, you should have seen the mess i made of the car, maybe i was lucky to survive, was in hospital for a month, the driver got of lightly ,12 points on his licence,a small fine of £150,and a slap on the wrist! Metaphorically!
That's the reason i am riding Pedalers now, Rust in Peace , 'Boromir' the Dawes Super Galaxy, I still have the mangaled frame hanging in my shed to remind me of the good times I had with it, named after a character in the 'Lord of the rings' trilogy, read the book , seen the film.

Chuckling is I. Very good, I like it! :)
Haha, me too.:D

'Samson' is my bigger bike. But 'Hercules' hasn't been taken yet. Although, you'd have to wear a skirt. ;)

I call my bike 'Delilah'. Named after Steptoe's horse. Which was initially named 'Hercules', until they found out that it was pregnant, later having a foal named 'Samson'.

SeaBiscuit would have jumped that car you ploughed into. You'd best find yourself a carthorse name like I did. :D
That is as maybe?
But , I don't laugh about what happened on that day, I did not plough into the car, that car crashed into us, I wasn't the only person to be hospitalised in the collision,a further 5 cyclist were.
The driver responsible lived locally, knew the road, and must thought, that it was ok to speed down said lane, whilst the police presented data to show that he wasn't speeding for that section of road, he was driving to fast for conditions allowed by the nature of the lane, narrow, twisty, and enclosed by high hedges, where caution dictated ,he should have taken more care ,but alack, with only 6 months since he passed his test, he was driving with his balls!
I, on the other hand was off work for 6 months, lost a pastime that I loved and miss, i.e. club cycling, and suffer from consequences of injury of that day.

Yes, I am embittered about it ,but I am here.
Rant over, I do hope you understand my feelings.

It happens to everyone except flecc.
Mine drove onto the cyclepath without checking if there were any bikes on it first.
We have our own arthritis now to remember by.

Possibly true, but i witnessed a Grltdnr event some while ago.

Riding in a high hedged twisty narrow lane not far from home a Rover overtook in a hurry. Then with it just beyond me I could see the top of a fast moving box body truck beyond the next bend over the top of hedges.

Sitting a bit lower than me clearly the car driver hadn't seen it and the trucky was blind to the car.

All I could do is brake and watch the inevitable.

Neither driver was physically badly hurt, just very shocked, so I squeezed past the wrecks and went on my way. I returned on a different route since it would have taken a while to recover them both from that narrow location.
