Does bicycle weight really matter?

if i can brake my xd hub jumping my bike i dont think a hub motor will take the jumps very well.

The Crystalite Hub Motors that I mentioned were jumping in this post seemed to stand the shocks ok.

Some internally geared ones might break the extended r/h spindle.
I had a sleeve solution for this in my Torq Radical and Quando conversions, shown almost half way down this link page.

No, just typical BMX jumps. For that more extreme stuff only a crank motor would do.

The only justification I can think of is having the motor to help getting back up to the top.

Any motor that could stand up to the jumps and stay reliable should be a good seller in the market though!

Those pavement kerbs can certainly be tough things to jump from.
