Does anyone use a torque wrench on their bike religiously?

I've somehow managed for about 60 years without one and got along fine although I've been meaning to get one for the last 30 years or so. Anyone got any recommendations?
Dave.
You can have mine Dave. I have had it for the about 30 years. And apart from MZ clutch housings (no key way just a tapered shaft) I have never used it. All has been honky dory up to now.

Crikey torque wrenches eh! Don't need them any more my arthritic wrist clicks just as well when tightening things up :(

Hi Dave,

For 2 to 24 Nm this one is not too expensive and would make a good Christmas stocking filler for your other half http://www.tools4trade.co.uk/sealey-wrench-micrometer.html?gclid=CjwKEAiA-s6zBRDWudDL2Iic4QQSJAA4Od3XDidaPnZ8ZNQ2WTdKIIitgDchTUneAF6-cK27jBtXQBoCo1bw_wcB
If you need to go higher than 24Nm there are lots to choose from.

Hi Flash,
Don't tell me you also had a MZ TS 250, has to be the best things to come out of the DDR.

When I used to race with Bemsee, there was and I believe still is an MZ race class. Riders of GSXR1000's etc taking the p**s out of them from the side lines used to make me smile. Especially when I would ask what their lap times were, then point out that up to mid field finishers, the MZ boys were lapping faster. :)

As for torque wrenches, I have a couple, but would highly recommend this 8nm -60nm Halfords one. http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/tools/sockets-accessories/halfords-professional-torque-wrench-8-60nm

Yes indeed Eddie, I seem to recall that in it's day the humble TS 250 was quicker to 60 than a Suzuki T20.
As far as racing was concerned MZ was way ahead of Suzuki until Ersnt Degner defected and sold their tuning secrets to Suzuki.

Hi Flash,

Had them all ES-250, TS-250 4 speed, Supa 5, Etz 250,Wilf Green special, even had a Rotax powered etz 500cc. As for MZ racing I used to know Alan Sheperd, quite well.

Also MZ racing cheap and cheerful and very exciting

I once rode a Supa 5 back to the factory at Zschopau from Congleton what an experience, happy days!

Sorry for rambling and going off thread.
