Hi, got a couple of Bicycles4U Evora folders. Nice enough for us to potter about on, except, as mentioned elsewhere, it's ,All or Nothing,' regarding power output. However, having used a throttle only system for some years on the old tandem, does anyone know how to disable the pedelec sensor so that we can pedal along with a bit of assist when needed via the thumb throttle, or is this a big 'no no?'

The throttle takes precedence over the pedal sensor, so just using the throttle on a low setting cuts down the power. If you still want to disable the pedal sensor, you have to find where it plugs into the controller. It has three wires. You would cut the red one and join some wire to each end, which you'd run up the handlebars to a simple on/off switch.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Looking at the bike, the controller appears to be in the frame so I'll have a look in and modify accordingly. Thanks also for the switch link.
