Should've got a BPM!. Let us know how you get on with the BBS02. It would be great to see some performance figures and comparisons with the Dillinger kit.

I just fancied something different this time.
I already have the front hub and 2 rear hubs so thought I may as well try this as well.
I am not sure how well the drive train will put up with the strain going through it but there are plenty of different types of secondhand bikes for sale round here which I can try it on.
Its going on a Raleigh MTB with a 7 speed rear first as thats whats in the shed.
I will be using the Dillenger 10amp battery on it.

are you sure that the 48V 10AH battery is going to support a 750W motor?

It works with the 1000 watt kit so I dont see why not.

the BBS02 can use 48V 25A - it'd shut down you battery in a few minutes on max throttle.

So what amps do you think my battery is limited to then?

it depends on the cells and BMS - it's usually 2C with Samsung SDI, 20A. With Chinese cells, I don't know. You'd be limited by the same battery, I'd expect same performance, 30mph but you should have much better torque at lower climbing speed.

I dont want to do more than 25mph ,its the torque for the 14% and steeper hills round here that I need.

those are just as capable as SDI. 20A - then you get your full 750W!

If you have headway cells, you can be pretty sure that they can give the current you need. Your present controller is probably 25A, so it's no different for the battery.

Thats what I was reckoning although Dillenger dont state controller rating.

EDIT____ Just had a look at the pre-install photos and its a 28 amp controller.

Well my update is I bought an electric car, and I took that kit back off the bike and have not got around to doing anyhting with it. If anyone wants to buy the kit off me give me a shout.
