Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi, I am still on a quest to get decent range and hill climbing from a Di Blasi folding tricycle. I have 3 queries:

Can someone explain in very simple terms why the R34 version which has 250w electric assist feels so underpowered?
Can its performance be improved in any way?

How can a motor be added to an R32 (pedal only)?

Power is down to the controller power supplied, typically 12- 15a is the max rating for most generic controllers but also the battery power output is another factor.

We would need to know your T34 battery specs and the controller rating.

For more power then more controller amps are generally needed , however it may be that the R34 power is controlled by software due to the nature of the bike and it's intended end user.

We need to know the bikes control system to know more.
