There is no derestrictor wiring that can be altered like that on the Torq and Forza, so any change would have to be to the controller. The US versions may use a different controller or alterations to the same one, but I've never heard of this being done here.

It could be worthwhile investigating it online on US sites, since the Suede motor is actually the US Birkestrand Corporation's "motorized wheel" which Giant licenced for use in the Suede and subsequent models.

is it possible to de restrict a giant suede,american sellers are quoting 18 mph,
andrewelecricbike1 posted his method of fitting a 'power on demand' system to the Suede. Not quite what you were asking, I know, but it may be of interest. I lack the skill to shortcut you to it but the search facility should lead you there, though flecc may well oblige!

The Giant Suede in the UK is Pedlec only. The sensor wires coming off the crank sensor can be shorted by a throttle or push button on the handlebar.

Intercept and tee into the two wires coming from the pedal sensor. Don`t cut them- just tee into them. Run the tee wires up to your handlebars and install a switch that closes on push.
