There's a new kit from BMSBattry that would work on a folding bike, but I wouldn't use that Dahon as a donor because its brakes are insufficient and its gears are over-specified. I'd get something like this one, which has disc brakes, freewheel gears and is a lot cheaper.

A 201 rpm Q100H in the back wheel and this battery/controller kit and you're home and dry:

That's weird. The batteries have gone. A few days ago, I saw on their website black plastic rack batteries with a rack with an included 20A sinewave controller, like the 09 bottle battery kit, but as a rack battery. It's not there now. Did anybody else see it or was I dreaming?
The bike looks great value, do you think it would be strong enough

I'm using leafbike dd motor. It's a bit heavy but with sine wave controller I love it because it's absolutely silent. I can only hear the sound of the wind!!

I get about 50 miles range... it's a big battery but I always have range anxiety and with this one I don't have it so much :D

Personally, I wouldn't trust any of them to do it properly. If you take your bike to Woosh and get yhem to do one of their own kits or Cyclezee to do one of his, I'm sure it'll be OK. Anything else I've seen so called professionallu done has been apalling.

Hi d8veh,
Do you know anybody or bike store in London that could do the convention for me. Thanks Todd
FWIW it's not hard - i converted an ancient raleigh 20 (worst possible choice), it's a matter of fitting the wheel, PAS, levers and joining up wires. Really - I'm not at all technically inclined and managed it - one just has to be methodical and careful. And if you do it fixing it afterwards will be easy.
