Hello All

I think I may have found a suitable bike for me although I need to find out the max rider weight and range. I wondered if anyone had any experience of these or could offer any opinions because I really have very limited knowledge about these things. Thank you.

Hi Brian,
I have had two electric bikes from C H White & Son. The first was back in 2008 & the second about 18 months ago. Both were Dahon conversions. I found both conversions were done to a very high standard & Tim at CH White & Son was very helpful in making one or two specification adjustments to the more recent bike. I know that they are now offering both crank & hub drive options. I have tried both & my preference is for hub drive, but this is just a personal taste & you may think differently. CH White & Son get very little mention on this forum which is a shame as my impression is of a specialist firm who show a lot of innovation in their products. Hope this helps your decision.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm really pleased to have someone with experience of the company recommend them. I think we may be getting this one for my wife but, unfortunately at 108kg I'm just a little on the heavy side so I think I will probably settle on the Batribike Sigma. Thanks again for your help.

If things don't go well at the bank Tuesday, later in the year I will convert a Tern Node D8 because I have issues with a new neighbour and need a folder. It has a max load capacity of 115 kg and bigger 24" wheels while still folding down to a reasonable size. The only modification needed other than the conversion kit is a hydraulic front brake everything else is good to go (which it should be at that price...). At 80 kg fully dressed that allows me to put 25 kg on the pannier rack and have room to spare with 6 kg of motor and battery.
