Cyclotricity stealth

Hi everyone, perhaps someone can offer advice concerning the two problems below?

I bought my stealth bike about two months ago and it has done < 12 hours of use so far, however two faults have emerged which I hope someone can advise me about?

Firstly, when using the battery assist mode, when I stop pedaling (free wheeling) the chain snags or jams on the rear sprocket and jumps off the chain wheel.
Does this mean that the chain wheel and gear sprocket is out of line, or can there be another explanation?

Secondly and more serious perhaps, in assist mode, the battery only drives intermittantly when pedaling continuously. i.e. on for two seconds and off for one or two seconds (approximately).
Both these faults have only just started to emerge. The battery is fully charged and when not pedaling, using battery powerr only, the motor drives continuously without problems?

You may get a better response on the main sub forum.

Do you have the issue at low speeds ? Only the bike will cut the power at 15.5mph. If you drop below it again the power kicks back in. This will give the intermittent effect you describe. As long this is at or around the 15mph point it's fine

Worth also making sure the PAS sensor is within a few mm of the magnet ring (and the ring is centred )

Yes, it sounds like your magnet disc behind the chainwheel has been knocked crooked, or one of the magnets has fallen out.

The other problem is something to do with the free-wheel gear-set. You need to get the bike up on a stand or something to check it. Which Stealth is it that you have? If it's the one with the big back motor, it might be that your low-gear derailleur stop-point is incorrectly set so that the chain is running past the bottom gear, or, less likely, you might be missing a spacer behind the free-wheel,

Thanks for the response Kirstin, I'm not sure about the low speed level but it only started to do this on my last outing. The bike is in France so I shall only get back there in a couple of weeks time to try it out again. I'll try the main forum in future but on this initial post I missed navigating to it.

This is new to me so I don't know what the PAS sensor is or about the magnetic ring? I bought the bike from e-bikes direct and it did not come with any manual so I guess I need to find out stuff on the appropriate website.

Hi d8veh, I'll do some more checking when I get back to France in a couple of weeks time.
It is the Cyclotricity Stealth 9ah battery with the front wheel hub motor and a 7 cog Shimano gear set.
