Hi there.
does anybody know what error code come 03 on the cyclotricity 1000w hub motor?
It works a little bit but lacks any power then comes up with a error message.
Many thanks

Ýou haven't told us which display or controller you have. If it's a Kunteng controller, 03 is a hall sensor problem.

The only thing on the display is kt lcd1
The Controller Is KT48ZWSL

I stripped the wheel down and remover led the armature from the inside and cleaned it and it all worked fine for 4 miles. Then I stopped for a hour then got back on the bike to come home and it's doing the same again. Does that help any?

KT is Kungteng.

Is your motor connector pushed in all the way to the line?

Yes it's just the same. Er 03 then stops shall I strip the wheel again?
Is there anything particularly I should look for?

Look at the routing of the hall sensor wires. One might be touching the rotor. Check their solder joints too.

I have just taken all wiring off and redone it but without the extension between the Controller and motor and it is working again.
I don't know if I should strip it down again now or see how it goes.
I am just a little worried as I still never got a refund on my bbs02

Ok so I just came to use it again and it is coming up with the same error.
It is as if the wheel needs help to get going then it makes a sound as if a coke can is stuck on the tyre.
Bit of a strange description but is all I can think of.
I will strip the wheel down again and have another look

I have the armature out again. It has 3 things that look like sensors. What am i looking for exactly? When you say touching the rotor do you mean the black that the axel is welded to?

The rotor is the bit that rotates, i.e. the bit with the magnets on. The side-plates also rotateclose to the hall sensors. Having said thay, they look OK to me.

Ok. I will build it back up and see. I don't fancy buying a new one as it does work until it goes wrong so It can't be a massive problem can it?
I don't think I'm so lucky with electric bikes. I have a bbs02 that went faulty two weeks after buying it and nobody has got back to me about a replacement or repair. So I got this cyclotricity one and now this has gone bad. It has worked fine for 4 months.

not trying to be facetious but have you asked cyclotricity? They seem to be pretty helpful and a I guess your motor may still have a warranty although pulling apart may affect that,

Ruben,
Did you ever find a solution to this problem as my 1000w motor developed the same fault today.
