I'm really interested in the Cube Elite Hybrid SL500 29. But having trouble finding a dealer not to far from East Anglia. Does anyone know anything about these Cube model's? Good or Bad!:):(

I have owned one since february this year, fantastic bike can`t recommend it enough.
I have set it up for road use only with slick tyres, close ratio cassette with a 18 front sprocket and taken the speed limit off and it runs great with the cx bosch motor and 500w battery, flying machine!
The price is also reasonable for a full carbon frame if that is the one you`re after.

I use mine for 40 miles every day and the reliability has been super, all the Cube range of e-bikes look like they represent good value for money.

Hi Clare, Did you visit our Cambridge store on Saturday? We have Haibike and we had the Nduro Pro you were interested in.

I am thinking of getting a Cube ebike from Chain Reaction. Do they service /repair their bikes or just sell them? Does anyone have an opinion of this company? Thanks.
They have a shop in Belfast with a service department. I think they are opening a shop in the city centre too (so my wife tells me).
BUT I have had problems with it. The pannier rack broke and still isn't fixed after 8 weeks (left it for repair on 12th may).
A recorded delivery letter to the manager lat Monday at least got him to contact me and start to get the part sent from Cube.
Still hasn't arrived though. I'm not a bicycle person so wanted to order from a bricks and mortar store, with a perceived better service. I had looked at Freego and their "replace if not repaired on 5 days" promise but thought the Cube would be a better bike.

I'm unimpressed with CRC for their attempt to avoid their responsibility by blaming Cube. And unimpressed with Cube for the time taken to replace a simple part.

I've loved ridding my cube for over 3000mlies but recently started having random power failure issues !
Basically on my last 3 longish rides the power has failed after 18, 22 & 38 miles, showing 503 error. each time it returned after I took a short break, the dealer can't find any fault.
All things being equal, if my issues are resolved successful, when the time comes I'll buy another Bosch Cube. If I'm left with an unreliable bike, I'll buy somthing with a different make of motor.

No problem. Pop by sometime if the Haibike models make your shortlist again. If not enjoy your bike when you get it and thanks for considering local bike shops first.

If someone is about to part with £2k+ for an electric bike they want a machine that is reliable with good repair shop not too far away. Trouble is with a battery and a motor there are more things that can go wrong on an ebike.

I have the Cube c-62 carbon elite hybrid and yes things can go wrong but i have to report that mine has been used hard since feb this year and it has been perfect.
The chain and cassette have been changed through wear and that is it and yes you are right about a local shop because it is very handy if anything goes wrong and it is used daily.

After my earlier post about CRC and Cube things have changed. The pannier rack still hasn't arrived so they have agreed that they will give me a replacement (2016) model.
I have to say that I am happy about that - it's just a pity it took so long. If I have a problem again I'll be more assertive from the start.

Having a local bike shop was a big part of my choice of supplier - online just wasn't for me

Unless your going to save hundreds (doubtful) buy from a bricks and mortar store. It's foolish not to.
