I am thinking about converting my old Cube Attention SL. Bafang BBS01B 36V 250W is my first choice with TDSZ2 as close second. I thought removing bottom bracket is a good first step...
I admit I have never removed bottom bracket before, so here is my first silly question:
What "do not disassemble" means? I still can remove BB, right?

I think this is my bb:

The warning is about disassembling the bearing holder, not the BB. It's very misleading, and nobody would want to disassemble it anyway, and even if they did, no harm would be done to the bike.

Don't forget that one bearing holder has a left hand thread. When unscrewing the top of it goes forward on both sides.

Thanks.

I can't find exact dimensions of BBS01B. To be specific the gap between the bit that goes into BB and motor is a concern.

This gap must be wide enough to accommodate cables and frame.

Normally, you'd remove that cable guide arrangement and run the cables in outers around the motor, but that guide on the front of the downtube looks like it might interfere. You could grind it back , or it's possible that the motor would fit vertically downwards, which might be OK for commuting, but not off-road. A crank-motor like a GNG might be a better solution if you get stuck.

Hi. I have completed a Bafang BBS02 conversion on my Cube Attention SL 29er. The 68mm to 73mm version of the BBS range will fit the bottom bracket but there is a lock ring that's supplied which will not fit as there will be no thread left after fitting the motor (I'm not sure if the BBS01 range is the same size but I assume it is). You will need to remove the plastic cable guide fixed to the bottom of the frame and re-route the gear shift cable, this can be done with a cable casing using the same internal cable as it will exit in the same position and will not cause issues, it is only the existing plastic cable guide that causes issues, it cannot be left scewed to the frame. The motor will up to the edge of the humped frame where the internally routed cables exit the frame but it's no problem and only makes about 20mm difference to the ground clearance once tightened up.

What is a real pain is the brake hall sensor mounting it nearly drove me mad trying to find a way of mounting them on the shimano brake levers. I have attached a couple of pictures to try to visually explain. The chain ring is the replacement for the Bafang supplied chain ring which leaves a lot to be desired.

Cable management is a real pain and cables can be run between the tyre and the frame as there is a gap of around 30mm.
