For sale: My custom ebike. I loved this bike so much, but I've not really ridden it for a while now. It deserves to be used properly!
It's base is a 16" mountain bike frame, with RST front suspension. This size frame gives a really great riding position for me (5' 8"), with plenty of seat adjustment.
The motor is a Crystalyte 408, (compatible with a 9 speed cassette and disk brake), powered by a 36v 9Ah Li Ion battery (mounted to the frame via bottle mount). The controller is 20A, and has a toggle switch on it for pedal sensoror throttle control.
I have a selection of spare throttles, which allow you to change from the current right hand thumb throttle to the left, or twist throttle either left or right. I also have a Low/Medium/High switch, which you can fit if you want to.
The gearing is currently configured as a single speed, at a very comfortable pedal cadence, by locking the rear derailleur onto one of the 6 speeds. You can, of course, unlock it easily and fit a gear shifter, but you will find that you really don't need gears on this bike.
All in all, a very nice ride!
I'm based in North Wales, and I'd welcome visits to test ride it.
Price wise, I'm looking for £375 (If this isn't reasonable, talk to me!)
Also open to splitting if you just want the motor kit.
Thanks for looking,
Rob
