many thanks

You would need a mini spot welder to success fully try it, what cells are used nimh or nicad. Chances are lithium cells wont fit in very well as usually there are a pair of cells end on in the male connection part.
You will also need to keep and re-use the contacts from those last two cells.

Tbh the cost of trying to re-cell you are better getting a cheapy form lidl when on offer.

Yes I thought about getting a mini spot welder. I just checked the old corroded batteries and all they have on them is 11 I have attached images of them, but I wont know how to make up a new pack as 2 of them was very tight in that part which shows the + and - on the post so 10 batteries at bottom and 2 inside that post but was very tight to remove

They are nicad's 12 x 1.2v for 14.4v.
Usually the cell mah rating is on the wrapper otherwise it might be printed on the can. They aren't cheap either at about £6 each.

One if serious would be better using nimh cells, but for the messing about and price a lidl special will work out cheaper then the cells I expect.

when you say Lidl special I take it you mean a new drill. Or do you mean battery. I don’t really know what replacement battery pack to buy what is same 14.4v

It's not worth repairing. You could probably buy a new lithium battery drill from Aldi or Lidl for less than the pice of what you need to repair that one.

No, a complete drill with battery. Also lidl often have just spare tool batteries for sale for there in house brand (Parkside).
For an ebike if one were to get some battery holders made (3D printed) at a reasonable cost one could use these batteries for a small ebike project or for a commute ride of several miles.

To buy a drill like vfr linked to is silly money, £31 for a drill and battery. The nicad's old hat now for power tools would cost more then that drill.

You must be Physic vfr400 as I already have that drill exact same one TeeTok I didn't buy from Lidl's mind you bought it from Amazon 21V 1.5aH which was £26.99 including battery, but the one on ebay including postage comes to £33.48 so £6.50 more. and I also bought a spare battery for just £12.99 on ebay that battery is £16.68 inc postage

I made one up about four years ago, they are quite bulky and fiddly to put together but not onerous. The issue is having each cell having/giving a god contact, the system wasn't 100% reliable.
You have to look at Mikey with tinted spec's and not believe everything he say's, I see him as an online/social media influencer in the ebike/EV world.

Well credit to you Nealh, as I dont think I could do a battery pack. But then I maybe surprised.

Yes I also thought that too, he does seems he is trying to just influence you to believe he is good.

Some people like to show the world they are clever and no better way then to keep making films of your self and having your own website, others don't need to they just get on with life and help others out by using specialist forums without all the fanfare. God knows how much money and success this forum has contributed to other users.

What annoys me is people that come on the forum announcing that they offer a repair service of some sort, yet they never offer any advice to people with problems.

Yep, I wonder how many bikes would end up as ornaments without the free advice given,
Mostly the knowledge gained by all is used to empower others to have a go at repairs then in time to pass that info on to others so perpetuating the circle of knowledge.

Yes I have seen it on a different forum to this on how to repair TVs etc like circuit boards. But anyone says how do you fix a problem, there reply is our web site is blah blah blah.

Well without the help from all you guys here, mine would be an ornament as such LOL. But I would keep trying to fix it. myself as I don't give up. I probably would search on youtube etc.
