HI We have now been using our converted mountain bikes for about 18 months and done about 800k.
I converted our 2 Diamond Back mountain bikes using a Pedalease 250w kit which was fairly easy once I got the cranks out. Our longest trip so far is about 30 miles and the batteries were still ok.
We have had to re[lace one battery as some cells were dying. One bike now has a fault which we would like some help with. The motor works correctly when the twist grip is used but cuts out when used on pedal detect mode. Is this a fault with the controller and can it be fixed?
Despite this we would recommend this conversion for anyone who has a bike that they like as for £550 it is much better than a e bike of that cost and it is a mid drive.

We need to know exactly what kit you have. What motor is it?

First thing to check is the disk with the magnets on the crank. Is it slipping? Is it aligned with the sensor?

I did little investigating into the company trading as Pedalease. The website shows the office in a storage warehouse
Pedalease Ltd
Unit 1001 Shurguard House
Westmount Centre
Hayes
UB4 0HD Walton on Thames .

Trading as Pedaling-made-easy on Ebay the contact is in a private house
A6 Ashford Ave Hayes Middlesex UB40LY and also as Drifttronics with and address in Walton-on-Thames

The pictures in the Drifttronics Ebay listing are identical to those in the Pedalease website. You cannot contact them, they do not reply to emails.
I am fairly certain I purchased a second hand non sensor 700C kit from them trading as Mateen many years ago to fit on a claud Butler hybrid. The bearing was shot and the controller constantly overheated and finally blew up. Make what you will of it.....

It is Barfang 250w. The kits were Pedalease.
That doesn't mean anything. can you show us a photo of what you have. You need to show the pedal sensor from underneath, the control panel, the battery and the motor from both sides.

That's not a Bafang motor, it's a Bewo. Just as well I asked for photos. I've never looked inside one of those pedal sensors, so I can't help. I think Woosh know about those.
