Still digressing from the main topic I have only encountered two throttle faults;
1. Broken wire causing an intermittent issue.
2. Moisture in a julet connector.
Otherwise throttles themselves have never given me an issue.

I think most problems arise leaving bikes out in the standing rain for hours on end.
My Norco 700c is my all year round town/errand and commute used in all weather, may be I'm lucky so far no major component issues.
We know from the past that Cwah leaves his bike/s in standing rain (no where indoors or at work)lashed up to anything that he can lock it too, even recall he left a 48v dolphin on his bike to fill up with water.
Ebikes aren't totally waterproof and do need protection from rain more so when left to the elements.
